The future status is somewhat uncertain - during COVID they operated a pop-up kitchen and bar in one of the outbuildings, whilst the pub itself has been operating as a holiday let (at least to the end of 2021). Watch this space ....
The Queens Arms in Cowden Pound is a real rarity - interior is pretty well unchanged from its origins as a victorian rural pub (and is on CAMRAs list of nationally important historic interiors).
There are 2 rooms - a public and a saloon bar - both with fireplaces. It is also very dog friendly - was told that sometimes the dogs outnumber the humans!
The pub itself keeps short hours - essentially evenings Monday through Saturday, and lunchtime on Sunday (check the link for more details as some of the evenings are pretty short).
Also note - the pub sells beer (Larkins) and other cold drinks but does not sell hot drinks (or lager).
Address : Hartfield Road, Cowden Pound, TN8 5NP
They have no website (or listed phone number) - but click here to visit their facebook page (someone will respond to a facebook message) - alternatively click here to visit the WhatPub page (maintained by CAMRA) which has some additional details about the pub.
