There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.

Emmetts Garden is a National Trust property.  The tearooms are outside the gardens themselves and have a Public Right of Way leading through them, so it is not necessary to enter the gardens to visit the tearooms.  It used to be a bad place to take dogs if it was raining as they are not allowed inside the tearooms and there was no undercover shelter outside.  However, there is now a gazebo on the grass outside the tearooms with one large table under it so there is usually somewhere to sit with dogs.

Near the tables there is a board which has an illustration of the view over The Weald with some of the features marked on it, including Bough Beech Reservoir.  If you look at the view beyond the reservoir, you may see what looks like another lake.  It isn't.  It is actually some poly-tunnels just outside Penshurst.  The walk from Chiddingstone to Penshurst, which we do from time to time and which is described in "Some walks we like", goes past them.
