The Grasshopper is on the A25, at the bottom of Moorhouse hill west of Westerham. It is just inside Surrey. Legend has it that the wife of the lord of the manor of Tatsfield was opposed to the existence of a pub within the manor, so someone built The Grasshopper just outside the parish. Food is served throughout so dogs are not allowed inside at all. There are some tables at the front and also a terraced beer garden at the back, accessible from the left hand side of the building.
