There are three main types of Right of Way
- A Footpath (FP), which is a Right of Way that is open to people on foot only,
- A Bridleway (BR), which is Right of Way for walkers and to riders of horses or pedal cycles, and
- A Byway Open to all traffic (BOAT), which is a track than can be used by any vehicle. Don't forget, the fact that you can legally drive any vehicle along a BOAT does not necessarily mean that that your vehicle will be capable of doing it. Potholes are sometimes very deep.
